what a say day...
This just gets harder and harder. Today was the results of my BETA and i got a BFN. I did two fresh cycles back to back (I only got one egg from the first cycle and ended with a chemical pregnancy). I was on the max amount of medicine and still only produced minimal amount of eggs.
I want to be a positive person, but its getting more frustrating and upsetting.
I do have a son which came naturally (hes 3.5 years old), but now its been a year and a half of BFN.
Any advice on staying positive? I do have one that froze and will try when i get clearance from the doc. Do i have it in me to do another fresh cycle at the max amount of drugs? My insurance company does cover it...
And on top of it, seems like everyone around me is pregnant.
Thanks for letting me vent!

I'm so sorry.
If you're insurance covers it and your RE thinks there is still a chance with your own eggs, I say go for it.
Though I hope the FET works and another fresh cycle is not even a thought.

So sorry. I would talk to your RE and see what he suggests. If you want to only put back 1 then I would go with the FET. However I have heard not all embryos make it through thaw. Do you know the quality of your frozen one? If you wanted to put back more than 1 this time and you have the insurance coverage a fresh cycle would be your best bet. I know its upsetting and I'm hoping something works out for you soon. Hang in there. Take time to be sad....it totally sucks.

I wouldn't make the decision now. But since you asked for opinions...I wouldn't even think twice - if your insurance covers a fresh cycle, I'd try it again. But you should definitely give your body a month or 2 off. Give your mind and body some time to heal. You'll never know if it could work unless you try!

Thanks so much for your support. I knew this process was going to be difficult, but you really don't know until you experience it. The best advice is from people who have been there. This site has been so helpful (even though I don't write a lot...). What do you do when IVF doesn't work?!? Keep going? I have an appt with my doc on Monday.
Also...does acupuncture really help??
Thanks again!

We did two failed cycles with the same RE. When they wanted to do almost the same exact protocol again, I decided it was time for a second opinion. The new RE changed my protocol and I feel as though the monitoring and lab were superior.
If this cycle did not work, I am not 100% sure what we would have done. We were seriously thinking about not doing another one because it is so emotionally draining.
Best of luck with your decision - I know it is not easy.

I went through IVF with a big fat negative back in August. Insurance covers it still so I gave myself a month off from he meds, to clear my head, enjoy rest of summer and to go for a consult to see what we can modify. Ill be starting another round with my September period-like two weeks
I did start acupuncture, not just because of this journey but I did hear its supposed to relax you etc. this gave me the jump start to go ahead and do it. I've gone twice already and I'm hooked.
This is a very difficult process physically and mentally. I thank god I found this board because it has really helped me. Good luck!!! XO
