Should I be worried?

Hi everyone. I have been seeing a fertility dr for a year now. I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks in Dec and a chemical pregnancy in May. Did another iui in Aug and now I am pregnant. Went for a sono at 5 weeks and 3 days and there was no yolk sac just a gestational sac. My dr said we just have to wait to see next week. Do you think I should be worried?? My emotions are all over the place. I am trying to stay positive but it's getting but it's hard. Chat Icon

5w3d is really early to see much more than the gestational sac. Hang in there. A lot changes very quickly at the beginning! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Should I be worried?

I would wait until my next appointment to worry. I am 6 weeks 3 days and at my sonogram yesterday we saw a teeny tiny yolk sac and an embryo with a flickering heatrbeat.

Re: Should I be worried?

There is a definitely possibility that you are just too early to see it just yet...do you know what your last beta was?

They only did my beta in the beginning. Beta 1-130 beta 2-386. I did call and ask for my levels after the sono but they said they don't check them once they start sono's.

I agree with everyone. It does seem too early. Wait till tomorrow and hopefully, you will get news that makes you feel better. Chat Icon

Re: Should I be worried?

Well had another sono today and I measured 6 weeks and 1 day...should be 6w4d but they said that's fine. There was a yolk sac but still no heart beat. Dr said it could show up tomorrow. He noticed how worried I was and said he would let me come back fri. If nothing than Monday. If there was still no heart beat mon than it is probably a blighted ovum.

Should I be worried?

I didn't see a hb with DS at 6 weeks, but did at 6w3d.

Good luck!
