Felling Bummed
Baby Nia is not coming home today as we hoped. Her bilirubin was slightly above the good range based on her gestational age. So she is being treated for jaundice under the blue lights. Doctors are hoping she comes off the lights tomorrow and comes home Friday.

aww my DD was in the NICU for almost a month so i know how hard it is to go home without baby. if its just jaundice she will hopefully be home soon!!

The same thing happened to my nephew. Don't worry usually it works out sooner than later. The doc told my SIL it's pretty common and he was home within a few days 
I hope she feels better

My daughter was jaundice when she was born,but came home with me, took her for tested every other day for billirubin levels and by day 5 i think it was, we got a home billi blanket light...when her levels were normal we dropped it back off. she was on it at home for maybe 8 days... try to check into something like that, most insurances should cover it

my son's billirubin was high too but instead of keeping him they wanted me to visit our pediatrician within 2 days of being home to recheck it....he was fine a few days later, I hope Nia can come home soon!!! Otherwise ask if you can just follow up with the pediatrician instead of her staying there.
