2yo DD randomly limping before-Need Advice

So my Dd was playing and then came up to me and said her leg hurt, she was pointing to her thigh kinda above her knee. She also wasn't really putting pressure on it and it looked like it buckled out from under her when she tried to walk. I was in the room w/ her, but didn't see if she tripped or not, but she said she fell when I asked her. I panicked and called DH who was on his way home from the city. I was gonna wait for him and then take her to the ER. She never cried or screamed, just said "ow, ow, ow" when she came over to me. I made her lay on the couch and rest it. I could touch her leg, foot, ankle, hip, knee w/o any problems and she wasn't complaining about it once she sat down. About an hour later she was able to put some pressure on it, and now that DH is home she seems basically fine.

I'm relieved, but DH thinks I should still call the dr in the morning to see what they say bc he thinks it weird for a 2yo to limp at all. I hate being an alarmist and I don't think it makes sense to call unless she is limping again tomorrow. Maybe she hurt he muscle, but rested it and it got better, KWIM?

I'm paranoid so I would definitely call the ped tomorrow just to be on the safe side.

Thanks. She was running around and jumping on the bed after dinner. Im going to see how she is in the morning...I know the ped will probably tell me to come in if I call...but I'll probably call anyway.

If she was fine all evening and is fine tomorrow I wouldn't worry. Maybe she got a cramp or was looking for attention.

Keep in mind pm pediatrics is open til midnight and they do xrays there. I don't know if it warrants a trip, but just figured i'd let you know. They are also wonderful there.

DD did this when her new shoes did not fit. I would have her feet measured.
