registry with second baby?

Thinking of making registry for 2nd pregnancy .. my two will only be 2 years a part so i have most of the baby stuff still but do have a list of stuff. no shower this time but grandparents are happy about it so they can buy stuff we need and they said others will do. registering mostly to keep organized and i was thinking don't you get discount to buy rest of registry after the baby is here? should i put a early due date and have husband pick everything up month before? would that work?

I registered for my 2nd as did most of my friends and we didn't have showers. I needed new stuff for some things and doubles for things dd is still using. People are going to buy presents for the new baby regardless so they will check the registry plus I don't know what I'm having so I put a bunch of boy stuff on the registry. I really don't get the "u shhouldnt register for a 2nd baby" viewpoint, if u need stuff, u need it.

Depending on where you register, sometimes you can use discounts before baby EDD. BBB and BRU let me use the coupon about 1 month before EDD. PBK on the other hand made me wait for the event to pass so I used my shower date for that.

Can't hurt. It gives people an idea of what you need and then you get the discount!
