resusing breast pump parts?
Im pregnant with #2 and I called Medela and asked them what parts I needed to replace for pump (valves, tubing, etc). They said I didnt need to replace anything if it was in good condition, just sterilize it. Did anyone not replace anything and just sterilize their old parts?

The only thing I plan on buying is the medela bottles. Everything else I will sterilize. Just so you know the tubes get some spots in them when you sterilize but it's not supposed to be harmful.

Just an FYI depending on your insurance you can get a NEW pump with each birth. So even if you have a pump from your 1st child; you can get a brand new one (and all new pump parts) for the 2nd child.

I did this, but they covered the freestyle with DD1 and only the PIS for DD2. I still use the freestyle, so I use the old parts.

Thanks all, I have GHI (for the past 8 years) so they def do not cover a pump. I will just sterilize.
