Nothing is Ever Easy-FET Cycling Update

Re: My FET

The good news is that my lining went from 6.5 to 9.5 in three days but I am STILL bleeding a little. My RE is a little concerned why I'm still bleeding and yet everywhere I read says its so normal to get this irregular bleeding when you suddenly stop BCP which I did. So, I'm confused and nervous. He had me on 2 2mg of Estrace 2x/day so four total and now upped me to 8 a day, 3 orally in the AM and one vaginally and 3 orally in the PM and one vaginally. He said the Estrace should stop the bleeding, prayers please. I go back on Saturday. I'd hate to think he'll cancel my transfer next Thursday with a great lining if I am still bleeding a bit. Does anyone know if technically you can still have a transfer with a little bit of bleeding?

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon for you! You need to be able to complete this cycle.. you're working so hard.

I had never taken BCP before taking it for IF... the mid-cycle bleeding scared the crap out of me, and I was even bleeding during my first sono. It stopped about two days later.

I'll give you some "PLEASE STOP BLEEDING" vibes. Maybe I'll see you Saturday, I go back tomorrow first.

Thanks so much, it's all very upsetting and confusing. I feel like them telling me to take just four pills of the 2nd pack and stop caused thisChat Icon

I stopped on the 26th pill, so I had two inactive ones left. I knew I was going to get another period... and I actually stopped bleeding for a couple of days then would start spotting again, It stopped after my 4 days of estrace. I never got a full period after stopping the BCP.

I was told to stop with two inactive pills left and start a new pack and after 3 or 4 active pills it was time to start Estrace.

I think perhaps something there got messed up and I surely hope it wasn't their wrongChat Icon

I am also doing a FET and I was in BCP'S. I then started lupron. The combination of sopping BCP's and beginning lupron made me bleed for a few days. It seems normal as long as its not too much or for long.

I would love to think anything is possible but I've been taking Estrace orally.

Nothing is Ever Easy-FET Cycling Update

I have had issues with both FET's where my lining did not thicken up. I hope that the bleeding subsides

So just because its at 9.5 doesn't mean it thickened up and this may be causing the bleeding? I'm confused. Thanks so much for your reply!

9.5 is a thick lining. But its strange that you would continue to bleed. Have they started you on PIO yet?

My PIO is set to begin on Saturday which is when they also have me coming back for monitoring as opposed to originally Friday. My Dr wanted to give me three days on the increased dosage of Estrace.

I hope it doesn't get too thick with the increased estrogen.. Pio will lock the lining but did they know why your bleeding?

Now something else to be worried aboutChat Icon. On a positive note, the bleeding has just about stopped today so praying!!!

Hopefully when I go back in on Saturday he will lower my dose of Estrace back to 2 or 4/ day instead of 8Chat Icon

I hope they lower it cause 8 is really high given that your lining is already at 9.5. Maybe he was concerned that the bleeding would cause your lining to thin but there is such a thing as a too thick lining.

Awe, thank you so much! I was there at 8:30. Unfortunately we cancelled my cycle, I am still bleeding a bit and he said he would need me to be not bleeding for at least 9 days before he'd start me on progesterone and that would take me to the 2nd week in September and I just can't take off of work as a Teacher in September. So we decided I'd try again which means I call with my September AF as he's doing his next cycling late October or beginning November. I know it'll be here before I l know it, it's just upsettingChat Icon Onward and upward I guess!

Weirdly, he mentioned that he's never seen anything like it but 1/4 of his patients are having crazy cycles and bleeding and their cycles are being cancelled. He joked that it must be a full moon because he's never seen this.

I hope you had a good appointment, keep me posted!

SO sorry your cycle got canceled. Better safe than sorry. I totally hear you on the teacher thing. I am going ot be absent the first week with kids and thats crazy but I'm gonna do it. I was there today. Its not going as great as I hoped for with the amount of follicles. Upset about it but hoping something changes by Tuesday. I wish you lots of luck with your next cycle!

So sorry to hear :(
my cycle this month is all screwy too.. Out of nowhere. Ugh. Dr keeps toying with canceling.
At least you don't have to stress these first few weeks of school. Silver lining.
Good luck hon!
