nap help

when do babies stop taking naps. I can't get DD to take a nap. She's wide awake with no nap anywhere in sight. I need to rest to! I already gave her a bath, bottles, fresh diaper, fresh clean clothes... I'm out of ideas.

DD1 stopped napping at 2 1/2. it wasn't worth the battle anymore. It took me longer to get her down than she actually napped.

I'm exhausted but that's bc I now have 2 dds. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Re: nap help

Last night it was hard to get her to sleep, same thing... wide awake and playing, so I had to take her in the car for a bit around 9pm. And she woke up normal time... 7:30.

it's ok they can skip naps on occasion. I would just put her down earlier than her normal bed time.

nap help

My DS would go a day here and there without a nap. Because of this I never forced a schedule. He would sleep when he was ready.

Re: nap help

I don't force a schedule on her. She usualy takes a nap after her second morning bottle. She fell asleep with the bottle and when I went to move her to the crib she woke up. Happened twice today. She won't sleep in her crib but will sleep on me just fine.

Re: nap help

teething? that always screwed us up and she always wanted me a bit more. It's tough, I know.
Could her naps times be changing?

How many naps a day does she take?

DD1 went to 1 nap at 11 months for 2-3 hours around 11:30/12

One nap a day usually start about 9:30. This is what I was thinking, maybe her body wants to go to sleep a little bit later in the morning not so close to wake up time. Thanks.
