Montessori style of teaching
I kind of understand the concept of it but not 100% familiar with it. What are the pros/cons of this style? Do you recommend it?

I think I commented on one of your previous posts.
I'd recommend you visit the Montessori YOU are interested in. They do have slightly different styles from what I understand.

DS is going to start in exactly a week. If you are looking for next year, I can update you. He'll be part time (he just turned 3) and our school is a traditional Montessori (mixed classes, strict). When I went in for a tour, it was summer camp time. The kids were so happy and well organized! In addition, our neighbors who sent their kids there raved about it... some more than the public schools in our area (which are ranked as some of the best in the USA), but we will see soon.

DS starts Wednesday & then will have a full "week" on the 9, 10, & 11.
I've heard all kinds of things, but DS loves & needs structure. He also loves older kids (much more than kids his own age).
I'm excited!

I already enrolled DD in nursery program this Fall but I keep hearing positive things about Montessori so we'll see.
