What is dream feeding?
When you feed the baby while they are sleeping. So if dc eats at 7 then goes to sleep, you can dream feed around 10 or 11 while they are sleeping before you go to sleep so baby sleeps longer.

Re: What is dream feeding?
My ped suggested it to get DD sleeping longer through the night. We did it from about 2-3 months until 8 months. DH picked up DD around midnight and fed her in her glider while she was still basically sleeping. She would then sleep until around 6 am. Not everyone agrees that this is a good idea, so you do what feels right for you. We did it longer than we had planned because DD had a low calorie intake during the day, and truly needed that feeding.

Re: What is dream feeding?
Never heard of it till LIF. I never did it with eith DS. I always feared I'd wake them. DS1 started sttn at 3 months and DS2 at 6 months, but when he woke for a feeding he went right back to sleep anyway.

I've only been able to do it once. If for whatever reason I'm up late I'll try to nurse DS to get a longer stretch of sleep but he usually doesn't feel like eating and won't open his mouth or suck!

Re: What is dream feeding?
I did it with my two older DDs...my new DD hasn't wanted to do it yet...I followed the Baby Whisperer method with them and she talks a lot about it...
