Dr Hanauers patients...
i have a regular 4 week appointment tomorrow to hear the heart beat. Do u think if i request a sono she would so it? would i have to give her reason?

well your insurance may not cover it ........in her welcome packet it says please dont ask for a sono just to "see" the baby
they try to do sonograms only when necessary
Hey it never hurts to just ask

She gave me one when I begged only because I had a previous miscarriage and I was very stressed having nightmares that my baby had no legs. After that - I let her decide when.

On one appt I had a nice lump sticking out of my belly. When I asked her what body part does she think it is she did a sono just to see.

And that's why I always recommend Dr.Gomes in Garden City. His sonogram technician, Jackie is AWESOME and they do a sonogram at EVERY VISIT!!!!
I have 2 BOOKS of sonogram pics for both of my boys!
That would drive me absolutely INSANE if I didn't have a sono at almost every visit!!! I always felt so great after every visit knowing everything was OK.
There's so much that can't be detected just by heartbeat and palpations.
Request that sono if you want one!!! I know I would!
