Nap-time help PLEASE!

My DD is four months old. She is a great sleeper at night. She goes from around 9-4 then a bottle then back to sleep until 8-10. But my problem is naps! She was always a 30 minute napper.About 2 weeks ago we stopped swaddling Recently, she only sleeps in the car, the stroller on a walk or while eating. If not she is screaming!

I tried the swing it works sometimes . I tried some white noise of a small fan. Any ideas? I am going back to work soon and could use the help~

I'd just let her nap in the swing. DS napped in the swing until about 5 months old.

Re: Nap-time help PLEASE!

This was my DD - she would nap 40 min...no longer no shorter. I think some babies can survive without long naps especially when they sleep through the night. My DD slept through the night almost the same hours as yours!

Anyway I did want to say it got better around 7 months...she takes longer naps now. All together she naps 2-3 hours a day. Usually a 2 hour nap and a 1 hour nap. Or two 1.5 naps. So hang in there - they will start to stretch them out. Also DD had to CIO for naps. She never cry more than 10-12 min and would fall asleep. We did the swing on and off too but not for every nap.

She's even fighting the swing! Thank you all mommies!!! I'm hoping its the 4 month sleep regression and it will get better.
