Beach Vacation in Jan/Feb
Any place to go for a beach vacation in the middle of winter here, that is not in the Caribbean and not a super long flight? Just trying to come up with something different, yet still reasonably affordable.
Sorry - just realized that the way I worded the post it sounds like I was looking to stay in the States. I meant when its winter here, where else is there to go, other than the Caribbean (or Mexico). Just looking to see if there's anything a little more exotic or different, that I haven't thought of.

For Jan/Feb you are going to have to south. Fl is really iffy and I have been there in Jan where it has been in the 30s at night.

Yeah, not interested in FL. Just wondering if there's any place a little more "exotic" than the Caribbean that I'm not thinking of or aware of (not that I have any problem with the Caribbean! Have been to many islands and would go back to some or check out others. Just wanted to see if I am missing something else.)

Jamaica. I've never been there at that time but the average weather is a consistent mid-80s.

Here in the states, I don't think you're going to find anything above 70. I looked up San Diego and they are only in the 60's.
How about Puerto Rico?

Not a beach but, we've done Scottsdale in the winter and were able to use the pool.

Its still sort of the caribbean but belize, cozumel, and isla mujeres would be nice that time of year. Puerto vallerta and cabo would be fine I think. Also Costa Rica. But if your looking to stay domestic, probably south florida would be your best bet.

I would say Costa Rica, Honduras, Belize. Cuase they don't have long flights but are a bit more exotic.
In Belize don't expect big all inclusive. I went on my HM if you are thinking there I can give you info.

South America. They have opposite seasons from us because of the equator. I have some family in Argentina, and when it's winter here, it's summer there
