Re: Would you let your child sleep in 80 deg room with fan?
we JUST got central air 2 weeks ago. prior to that, there was no air conditioner in dd's room. so she slept in an 80 + degree room, many nights. she does have a ceiling fan, but that was it. even now, I don't have the central air on. it's been getting into the 60's at night. when she went to bed it was 78 just outside her room but it's already gotten cool.

No, I wouldn't. This is coming from someone that does not like it cold. But I think that would be way too warm. I don't even think my girls could sleep in a room that warm.

No, that is too hot. My kids would be sweating at that temp. I didn't have AC growing up and I remember being uncomfortable and hot. We have CAC and never goes above 76. Thank god for AC, why not use it!

If I had AC Id put it on. Before CAC we had a small window AC in their room that would be fine at first then get tired as the night went on. It would be warm in there still so I kept them in onesies only and if they were chilly Id cover them with their lovey blanket. (small croceted blankey). My girls are polar bears like their dad though.

my 4 year old slept in a tent while camping on the hottest day of the year in July which was easily 95 degrees and probably 80s at night. he was fine and didn't complain. if its a one off i don't see the problem.
