Ebay selling help
I want to try to sell a few things on ebay. I have a few questions though. I mostly want to sell very lightly used clothes and accessories
1. How do you figure out a price if there is nothing the same on ebay
2. What price do you start the items at? Do you use a reserve?
3. How do you keep a policy of what you see is what you get? Do you have to have a an exchange policy?
if you have a Ebay store can you send me the link so I can get some ideas?
thanks!!

Re: Ebay selling help
I sell a TON of stuff on eBay. My sales to date for the last 2 years are over $19,000
Depends on the item/brand/size w/pricing. Most of my stuff is Loft, Jcrew, Banana. I tend to price shirts as an auction around $5 each to start / BIN for $8. Pants I usually do $7/$10. If its new with tags, that's different. I just know from experience what people are willing to spend.
I don't accept returns. I did for a month, but it was annoying that ppl would send me an item back b/c it didn't "fit" - I'm not a retailer, so you take a chance when you buy a used item from me that it might not fit.
I never use a reserve, b/c it costs extra in an auction.

Ebay selling help
BIN = Buy it now.
For clothes, I use flat rate shipping envelopes (free at the post office or on usps.com) and I charge ppl $5.

Re: Ebay selling help
I offer free shipping. I amertise the price of the shipping into the item. I ship all my bags Priority Mail - flat rate if it's on the West Coast and reg. if it's on the east coast. Many times it's cheaper that way.
Items like tops or dresses I was able to fold up and put in tyvek bags I purchased on ebay.
I don't do BIN anymore b/c the fees have gone up tremendously so I just let it run. No returns either. The items I sell are mostly leather bags and I don't need a bag to come to me that smells like smoke.
I have a nice following and have repeat customers. Last year was amazing for me as a powerseller & I had alot of fun.
I don't have a store but I'm fabrichick34

Re: Ebay selling help
Ooh cool I sold 100s of bags and got a new job and EBay took a backseat. I'm going to get busy again now that summers over.

Ebay selling help
I usually wait until those "free listing" periods to do all of mine b/c I usually have over 100 items for sale. I HATEEEEEEEEEEE paying for listings.
