If you delivered at LIJ in NHP
I know they supply you with the mesh undies, but what else do they give you during your stay? As I'm packing my bag I'm running out of space so I'm trying to cut down the stuff.
For baby I'm only bringing her going home outfit.

If you delivered at LIJ in NHP
They give you pads, tucks and foam stuff for pain. I would pack breast pads since I was leaking like crazy when my milk came in and they didn't have them. Is there anything in particular you Are wondering about? I just brought flip flops, a robe, yoga pants, and tanks I think.

I have the robe, yoga pants, tanks, flip flops and slippers and my bag is full to the max. I'm taking a nice size duffle but it seems like its a lot.

They give you toiletries.
I brought my own pads as I hated the pillow sized ones.

I brought a carry on luggage suitcase. I brought my own toiletries also. Don't forget your phone charger and camera!

I used their shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste. I packed my own, but theirs was already on the counter, so I used it.
Also, I brought my own pads, but didn't use them either.
Besides a change of clothes, flip flops, and socks, you don't really need anything.

They don't give you regular wipes (just disposable washcloths), so you might want to bring those for the baby if you don't want to have to wet your cloth every time you change the baby. Also they don't provide a pacifier.
They provided pretty much everything else I needed. All the toiletries, toothbrush, pads, hemorrhoid cream & foam, underwear, socks, & all the supplies for the baby, diapers, comb, hat. I only went into my bag for my own clothes & flip flops, deodorant, & the baby's clothes.

hmm the nurse I asked told me they don't encourage using pacifiers because it supposedly causes the baby have trouble breastfeeding. Maybe if I'd been more persistent or asked somebody else they would have given me one, not sure.

I delivered there end of May and they said they had no pacifiers... which I thought was ridiculous!!

I delivered July 1st and they gave me a paci. WEIRD!! I wonder if some nurses are against them so they just make stuff up. If one nurse tells you no, ask another nurse. It might just be someone not knowing or being lazy.
I LOVED their pads and didn't even open mine. I even stole extras and brought them home. I used their toiletries too.
My bag was...
2 pairs of yoga pants, 2 t-shirts, slippers, flip flops (for shower), I packed underwear but used their mesh which are AWESOME, nursing bra, sports bra, phone charger, a sweatshirt, hair tie, brush, baby book, and a going home outfit for me (which was a maxi dress...easy on). I had DH bring DS's going home outfit the day we went home. This way it didn't wrinkle. We also didn't know if he would fit into newborn or 0-3 and I didn't want to pack 2 outfits.
