Disney Cabins and Disney Camp ground
How are the cabins? Do they provide the tent with tv and a/c at the campground or you bring your own and they provide the hook up? We are planning a trip in the next 1-2 years and we want space to run around and not be in the heart of Disney. Does that make sense?

You have to bring your own tent or RV. I know there are outside companies that you can actually rent an RV from and they will set it up for you. I'm not sure if there are tent companies though. The cabins look cute, and have everything you need! We have only visited, never stayed there.

Re: Disney Cabins and Disney Camp ground
this is where we always stayed when we went growing up. We would drive down and tent camp. it was so fun!! the campground is really great- you can rent bikes, they have a nice pool you can use, they have a little petting zoo, they have sing a long campfires I think every night with Chip and Dale. I also remember them doing outdoor movies, too. We would always take at least one, sometimes 2 day "off" from the parks to just hang around the campground and take it easy. Like you said, with the craziness of the parks, its nice to have a pretty "peaceful" place to stay. I'm pretty sure the cabins have their own bathrooms... but if not the campground bathrooms are very nice. Big showers, very clean. The coolest thing is that you can take the ferry boat to magic kingdom. I always remember how cool it was to see the castle from the ferry boat! and I don't remember it being TOO bad to take the buses to the other parks...
My parents now have a big RV (go figure, they got that after they made us tent camp all those years! ) and we're meeting them down there with DS in February! I CAN'T wait!! He will be just over 3, and it will be his first trip So excited for him to see Fort Wilderness, too!
