Menopour and Follostim - Need Quick Answer
I have to start my injections and am on 225 of menopour and 225 of follostim. I have the pen, which seems easy enough.
Is menopour hard to mix? Where do I inject it?

Menopur isnt hard to mix once you get used to it. I always roll the bottle in my hand rather than shake it. I injected in my stomach. I believe you can mix up to 4 vials of menopur in one inject. My re suggested not to use the Q cap and i found it easier without.. When I used the Q cap i had some leakage in the needle. Menopur can burn slightly. Good luck!!!

Good luck. I was wondering the same thing. I'm scared to mess up Menopur. Let me know how it goes and any tips. Maybe I'll be starting it tomorrow.... If Follistim is like Gonal F pen its very easy. GL

It went fine, but the chick on the follostim video spent 10 minutes going over the side effects and how I could die and my ovaries could get twisted in a big knot. So didn't need that. 
The whole thing took about an hour and fifteen minutes, but I watched about 40 minutes worth of videos.

I used the Q cap. Do NOT shake to mix. Roll the vial slowly to ensure the powder has disolved. Injecting in the stomach was always easiest (I don't know how people can possibly inject in the thigh). I always found that Menopur burned going in. I can't remember if it was the Menopur or Bravelle that felt like I was shooting acid that was lit on fire into my stomach lol.

I did the injections myself, but DH handed me stuff, and cleaned everything with alcohol and whatnot.
The menopour burned a little. Dr. Z didn't give me any restrictions... and I REALLY wanted a glass of wine tonight, but decided against it. I drank a cup of coffee afterwards, but no one mentioned anything NOT to do. I may call tomorrow and ask about that.

You are brave to do the injections. I always make DH do them since I'm such a baby. I'm gonna try to remember to ask him if there are any restrictions when I go in tomorrow. I'll let you know. At my IVF consult I asked him about continuing working out and he said I can but I might start to feel heavy and be uncomfortable and then to stop. I had a glass of wine with dinner and said to DH I hope this is my last drink for the next 9 months....trying to be optimistic. I'm trying to eat healthier and avoid caffeine.

I found the menopur burned less if you mixed it and let it sit for a little while.
