Please recommend tropical vacay for DH and I in November

Please recommend tropical vacay for DH and I in November
DH and I are looking for an island that will have sightseeing (prefer not to hang out at resort the whole time but will if theres lots to do), all inclusive, and prefer adults only but doesnt have to be.
I was looking at Punta Cana and Riviera Maya. Where else is there thats good thats not too long a plane ride?

Please recommend tropical vacay for DH and I in November
In either location, I absolutely recommend Excellence resorts. You can't go wrong. Both locations have sightseeing available and we've gone sightseeing, truthfully, there is no reason to leave the resort. We preferred excellence in mexico over the dr.

DH and I are going to The Royal in Playa del Carmen in Nov. that's where we went on our HM so we are going back to celebrate our 5yr anniversary.
We loved loved loved it. I'm so excited to go back soon.

The Hard Rock Punta Cana is an incredible resort! It's not adult only but the resort is so great that I've never had anyone complain if they went without kids.
Hard Rock and Palace Resorts are amazing and they have locations throughout the tropics.

I went to Cancun in Nov one year and it rained a lot.
We are going to the Bahamas in Nov (not my preferred time slot) and also expect hit or miss weather.
Would you do Aruba?
If you can fly further, go to Hawaii! We got engaged in Hawaii in Nov several years ago. Weather was perfect and so romantic. Loved it.
