Vintage / Thrift / Used Clothes (can you tell I'm bored at work?)

Will you / do you wear used clothes? Vintage shops? Thrift stores? Yard sales??

(work is slow today!)

If I buy consignment, it's online. I feel like good consignment boutiques are few and far between where I live.

I'm definitely not opposed to buying pre-owned, whether it's clothes or accessories.

What are your online Cosignment sites? I was always interested in buy vintage but not sure where to shop. I want to switch my style.

Hell yeah I do!

I've been shopping at trift and consignment stores for years. Since the mid-90's. You find some great things there.

I don't buy from online ones because it's so hard to tell if something will look good/fit right and I can't be bothered with shipping things back and whatnot.

Some of the ones I like the most are:
Cadillac's Castle
Beacon's Closet
Tokio 7
Buffalo Exchange
Guvnor's Vintage
Housing Works
Urban Jungle

No. I don't. Just not my thing.
I don't buy expensive clothes so I just prefer to buy new.

I've purchased from members of other various messageboards geared towards different interests like handbags, premium denim, shoes, etc..

I used to use Ebay a lot back in the day, mainly because that was the place to find signature jewelry pieces.

Other sites I peruse frequently:
Ann's Fabulous Finds
The Real Deal Collection
Portero

It's not necessarily about buying or wanting expensive pieces. Sometimes it's about finding a "specific" item that just isn't made anymore or readily available to be purchased.

My sister sells this kind of stuff on Ebay and makes decent money doing it.

She actually picks me up stuff in her thrifting travels. Much of it, expensive labels, brand new with tags.

I dont wear pricey clothes either - I'm the Marshalls queen - but I love getting clothes at thrift stores b/c I can be pretty sure that someone else at work won't show up wearing the same outfit.

Ugh i've had a coworker like an item I was wearing and go out the same day and buy the same dress. Needless to say, I gave it away.

I also love yard sales. People sell good stuff for cheap!! I sell lots of it on ebay for a huge profit. I got a Boden dress for $1 that I sold on eBay the same evening for $47!! I have like 115 items for sale on ebay right now, most of which are things I found at yard sales for less than $1 each.
