Alimentum. Help!
So dd is a little over 7 weeks. She's always had gas but the last two days it's been brutal and it kills me to see her in pain. She has been on similac sensitive and the other night dh accidently gave her 2oz of ready to feed similac advanced. Since then she's been a mess.
We thought maybe switching to ready to feed may help since the powder gives us so much foam and bubbles. Or switching to alimentum. She doesnt spit up or have reflux that I know of or milk allergies that I know of.
A friend also suggested putting gas drops in each bottle.
what would you do or have done? Powder vs ready to feed? Stick with sensitive and give gas drops in the bottle or move on to alimentum?
I seriously need to fix this and get her comfortable.
Oh she also gets constipated and dr said take her rectal temp to stimulate poop. Which works some of the time and then she will poop like 3-5 times in a row. Today and yesterday tho it was diarrhea.

I'd try switcking to Enfamil Gentlease. It made a big difference in DS when we switched from Similac Sensitive. Also, when mixing the Enfamil formula, i've noticed there's no bubbles.

Alimentum. Help!
I would try gentlease too. Take all other formula and put it in another closet so not to have any confusion. I would give it a week or two before looking to switch any more. Also, if you see signs of her getting hungry I would make the bottle asap. Then let it sit for a few minutes to let any bubbles pop.

Ds did not do well on advanced and far worse on sensitive..he was grunting with gas pains.. Never looked comfortable...after trying gentleease it was better, but he eventually ended up with alimentum due to an allergy. Good luck!

Ds did not like the taste of gentlease so he's been on Similac sensitive. We use ventaire bottles and give little tummies gas drops before each feeding. I also mix several bottles worth of formula in the Dr brown's pitcher then pour into individual bottles to reduce bubbles. These steps really helped him to be less gassy

DS was the same way, dr had me try gentleease and DS hated it. He would not take the formula. His DR then had me try similac soy and DS was better but then got really constipated. So then DR had us give him one bottle soy and one bottle similac advance and it worked like a charm. I also changed his bottles to playtex ventaire after trying dr brown bottles and avent. He is now dong great sometimes gets gassy but I make sure to feed him in an upright position and burp him every 2 ounces. He's been a different baby ever since. DS is 3.5 months old.

DS was always very uncomfortable. He doesn't have a milk allergy, but the ped told us to try Nutramigen. We did and he was like a different baby. It is easier to digest and has a probiotic in it so he did much better on it than the regular Enfamil.
