Anyone use the color Bottle Service by Essie?
Weird question- but do you notice it dries almost matte?
Like it goes on glossy but dries dull?
No biggie because once I put a topcoat on it's shiny again but I found that odd.
Maybe I got a bum bottle?

Anyone use the color Bottle Service by Essie?
I got DJ Play that Song from Essie's Neon 2013 collection and it does the same thing. Maybe it is an issue with their neon line...

yes. neons always dry up matte.
I kind of fig that would happen when I used their neons.

Hmmm- so strange. Again not a biggie since I top coat it - I just thought something was wrong with my bottle.

I find this with all polish though- not just top coats. As it ages, the thinners start to evaporate and it gunks up.
I never end up using a bottle to completion.
Ahhhh- first world problems!

Seche Vite turns into airplane glue after a while.
Get Seche Restore, it's a thinner and will make your Seche Vite thin again.
And yes, all neons that I have seen dry matte, I kind of like that look.

I agree about the neons drying more matte.
Also, for those who mentioned nail polish thickening up...they also sell nail polish thinner to thin it back up.

Yes and i found it so weird!! And i found it chipped super fast like 2 days and my nails were a mess. I bought the exact same neon pink from a cheapy brand at cvs and it lasted 2 weeks and did NOT dry matte at all!

When I get neon colors, I usually get cheapy Color Club which lasts forever!! Last week I got Bottle Service and it chipped the next day, looks nasty matte, and actually got faded/lighter in the sun - hate it!

Yeah mine is chipping like a bytch too!
But my nails ALWAYS chip- so I just attributed it to that.
Hmmm- interesting.
I know Matte polish never lasts as long so maybe the matte factor is why.

I don't use Seche Vite anymore because of the gunkiness. I never found it did anything too wonderful anyway. I am now using Deb Lippman. That is an awesome top coat.

I don't know what brand it was, but I recently had a hot pink done at a manicure. The very next day they looked horrendous! Almost every nail chipped really bad. I went back to the salon and had them do a color change. I vowed to stay away from the brand, but maybe it's just the neons that don't last?

I think it may just be the neons of certain brands that dry matte. I tried another neonish color I think it was a Duri brand color and its day 2 and 4 of my nails chipped already. Im pissed.
I tried a cheapy brand that dried regular and it lasted about 10 days.. no joke
