keeping your favorite nail polish at a nail salon
So, my friend is a busy mom. She treats herself to a manicure and pedicure once or twice a month. She was bummed when her nail salon stopped using her favorite polish. I found the polish online and ordered two bottles. I plan on getting her a gift certificate for her birthday. Do you think they will keep one of her bottles (and not share it with others) at the salon or should I give her both bottles? I'm just thinking that she will get some free time for some pampering while she's on the road and not have the polish with her.

I probably wouldn't trust the salon to keep her polish for her and use it only on her. But, if it's a salon where they keep a personal kit for you with your name on it, I might consider keeping the polish in the kit.
btw, I just wanna say that's a very thoughtful thing to do for your friend

I see women bringing in their own bottles all the time. I wouldn't keep it there, but I would bring it with me every time.
That's very sweet of you. I would still give them to her.

I'd never trust any nail salon!! Maybe you can make a little box that says "nail salon supply kit" so that she knows what you were going for when you give her the polishes.

My salon won't hold polishes for you. I keep a nail kit (a bag with polishes, files, buffer, toe separators and flip flops) in my car.

I bring my own polish almost all the time. I put it in my bag if I think I might go. I started to put labels (like the daycare ones) on every bottle so I don't forget to bring them home or have an issue if the salon forgets. They often go to put my polish away & I have to remind them it's mine.
