3 years ago we ordered my DD set fro BRU. It was ok. For this baby we ordered from JC Penney's. And it was so much better quality! It was also pretty cheap and came really fast. I ordered it on Sunday and it came on Thursday! The dresser was already put together.

Echelon by Munire. A little pricey, but excellent quality. It's also made in USA which I like. We got a convertible crib so this will be her furniture for a lonnnnng time.

We did not invest in "lifetime" furniture for dd. We got an affordable Graco Set from Kmart.com. Now that she is almost 3 I'm glad we didn't spend a lot of $$. When she s a little older we will get her real bedroom furniture.

We went with Stanley Young America from Behrs because they are made in the USA. Basically, you want to avoid furniture made in China because of the risk of whatever chemicals they use. That's what I read, anyway. We also wanted a crib made of 100% wood.

We ordered the brand westwood baby through BBB.
We based all of our research on information from the Baby Bargains book.

Anothe Baby Furniture Question
We got BRU furniture but literally a week after we added it to our registry it became discontinued! Thats the issue with BRU- their manufacturers seem to have a lot more turnover. You could of course run into that anywhere, but just be careful of that. We do love our furniture but my mom and my MIL had a hard time trying to order it.

We are getting the Munire Medford collection, its a lifetime crib. I hear Munire is grt! we are ordering from Little Kings and Queens and brooklyn and they will come to Li and set everything up.
