City Mini with carseat adaptor for infant?

Did anyone have the City Mini from the get go and use it with a carseat adaptor for an infant? I was going to go with the Uppababy Vista but it's a bit heavier than I would like for going in and out of the car often. So I'm thinking the City Mini with carseat adaptor and maybe even the bassinet attachment might be a good alternative.

If you did - did you like it? Do you have to remove the adaptor to fold the stroller?

Thanks!

City Mini with carseat adaptor for infant?

I used the City Mini with adaptor for walks in the beginning. In stores, I always preferred the snap and go. much lighter and smaller. era: the bassinet would have been a waste for us. dd had reflux and couldnt lie flat. Ds had a touch of.reflux as well and likes looking around.

Seems like for what you described you want, the Uppababy Cruz may be a good option (except no bassinet). It's lighter than the vista and the whole seat comes out so you could use it just like a snap n go only sturdier wheels (not plastic) and a larger basket.

With the city mini the seat doesn't come out, so you would put the car seat on top of the stroller like u would a travel system. Seems combersome, in my opinion.

You might want to consider the City Mini and Snap and Go. You will love the ease of the Snap and Go and the lightness of the City-Mini. I have the City-Mini GT and a Chico Caddy which is basically the same as the Snap and Go and have pretty much decided to skip the City Mini adapter.

I had the city mini with adapter and a snap and go. I liked the city min for long walks but the snap and go was so light and easy for errands, doctors appts, etc. I found it difficult to snap the carseat into the adapter on the city mini. You can fold it with the adapter on, but the bracket sticks up.

ETA: I have the Chicco caddy...same as a snap and go.

As the others said the City Mini is great for longer walks. And the Snap n Go is perfect for errands. That's what I have.

The City Mini isn't that heavy, but it can be a pain in the butt to lug in and out of a trunk. I'm rather petite so I'm sure that doesn't help.

I was going to go that route but things came up and I never bought the adaptor.I used the snap and go instead and just started using the city mini when DD was about 9 months and too big for the infant carrier( she's a big girl). I loved the snap and go and sometimes miss the big basket. I love the city mini too.

I had the city mini but used the snap and go while DD was in the car seat..it wasn't long before she was out of the carseat and we used it as a regular stroller..my friend did the adapter and loved it and seemed to have no issues with transport, etc.

I have the city mini and used the adapter. I never needed anything else. The basket is plenty unless you are the type of person who leaves the house with every thing but the kitchen sink.

If you're going to be in and out of the car alot, definitely get the snap n go. It's lighter and easier to steer.
