Newborn announcements

For those who plan to send out announcements using pictures from a newborn shoot: Is this something the photographer typically does or do you do it on your own?

I thinking all depends on if you get a copy of the pictures. I did mine on my own last time and will probably do the same again cause I got/getting copies of the pictures. If your not getting copies I would think you have to get them though the photographer. I will look into how much it costs with my photographer if it comparable to what I would pay through offering one myself I may do it thru them just out of pure laziness ... I always seem to put ordering these types of thing off ;)
