Best affordable cruise with 2.5 yo
I recently posted about a doing a quick getaway for my family but I was thinking with the $1500 I was willing to drop on a 3 night vacation, I might be able to book a cruise for the same price.
It would be me, DH and our son who is almost 2.5 years old. I would love to leave out of NY/NJ but I think those are more $. My DH and I have only been on one cruise 9 years ago, Princess line for our honeymoon in the Mediterranean. It was incredible!!!
I'm looking for recommendations on what cruise line and where (I'm thinking Caribbean I guess). I've already looked at Disney and it looks like a dream, but I think it's out of our price range right now. TIA!!!

You won't get too many short choices out of NY the majority are 7+ nights. They are not necessarily more expensive you need to fully price them out. Remember to add air in if you sail from Florida. Sometimes that equals them out but you need to price it all out before you rule them out. Btw sometimes I see good prices on last minute Bermuda cruises out of Bayonne or NYC.

I've always found Carnival to be the least expensive, even out of NY. I've sailed them 6 times and have no complaints whatsoever. I really love them. You can cruise to the Bahamas from NY on Carnival for $1200 for 3 people (cheapest room on cheapest date). It's an 8 day cruise. They're actually doing a sale now that gives lower rates on rooms with more than 2 people in it.

Norweigan is also doing kids cruise free on select sailings, so you would only have to pay for you and DH.
Norweigan can also be good when sailing w/children because they are freestyle and you can eat whenever you want. And you can sail out of NY.
