Center for human reproduction patients??

Hey ladies. I am just starting working with Dr. Cohen and so far have been very frustrated with my experience. He put me on 50 mg of Clomid and told me a nurse would call to set up a time for a sonogram about 2 weeks later. I never got a call so I called them after waiting a week and a half and was only able to get an appt in the middle of the day Monday, which I had to take an unpaid day off for, and the had to wait over an hour and a half to see the dr. For approximately 5 minutes. They took my blood and the dr said he would call me today to let me know if I had already ovulated and that was it.

So today I get home at 7:30 to find a message in my machine from one of the nurses telling me to start the 100 mg of Clomid tonight (which I don't have a prescription for). Dr Cohen didn't mention that if I didn't ovulate I would have to take an additional round of Clomid this cycle. I had a ton of questions for the dr about this and. By the time I got home the office was closed.

Going to try to get this sorted out tomorrow. But was wondering if this was common place for other patients?! I got that factory feel and don't like it at all. Thinking of making an appt for a consultation with another dr in a smaller practice. Looking for opinions please.

I left NS due to financial reasons. I loved Dr. Chu but hated that I had to wait at least an hour to be seen. I also did not like the receptionists. I'm much much much happier at li Ivf.

I left NS,because I felt like my RE (not Cohen) was not really listening. After 5 failed IVF cycles(1 cancelled) he refused to change my protocol. I felt if its not working why not try something different?! He did not agree. I switched to RS of NY in Mineola and I am currently 32 weeks pregnant(Dr Trivax changed my protocol).

Thanks ladies. Been a tough week all around, dh had at knee replacement last week(something no 31 year old should ever have to deal with). I wasn't sure if I was over reacting because I was emotional this week. Dh is getting home from the rehab facility today and said he would research a new dr for us since I called him crying last night.

There's no harm in going for a consult with another dr. Even though your stressed about Dh and everything, trust your gut.
