FTWM... quality time with DC after work

DD is almost 6 months, sleeping terribly at night, so i barely get any sleep. By the time I get home from work, I am so exhausted I barely have any energy left at all. I have about two hours before I have to start bedtime routine, but i'm so tired.

Are you exhausted by the time you get home? What do you do with DC to spend quality time after work?

I usually take them to the park or just in the backyard to play a little but yes I am exhausted by the time I get home. I try to play with them for a couple of hrs before bedtime. Let me tell you when they go to bed..I crash..I am so exhausted.

Completely exhausted. And DD is 2 now. When she was that age I'd play with her while feeding her dinner. I'd make silly noises, tickle her, anything to make her giggle. And then I'd give her toys and let her play in the highchair while I cooked so I could still interact with her. We'd play for a while, but bedtime is really our special time. Was then and is now. We goof off together for a bit, read, sing songs, and snuggle. It's my favorite time of the day with her. It's hard to really have quality time together after work. So we make the most of the weekends.

It gets better. at that age we just ate dinner, bath and playtime. I had about 2 hrs with DS too and I just doo whatever....I follow his cues.

It gets better once they STTN all the time but I am still tired (DS is 19M).

I get most of my quailty time with DS on the weekends. We do not do playdates or any classes etc on weekend because of this. Weekends are strictly for family.

We eat together.
We play with a toy.
I read a book.
We do art (starting at 1.5).
We do flash cards (starting at 3).

Then, we go to bed together (at 9:30): Pjs, brush teeth, put them to bed.

It's hard to get the energy after work... but it IS the most important part of your day!

At that age, I'd get home, feed her dinner and play with her a little before bed time.
As they get older, it does get a little easier, because there's more "stuff" to do. Like, now when I get home, we eat dinner and I spend the rest of the night chasing after her (She's almost 15 months), or playing with toys on the floor.
It is exhausting though, it really is.

My DD is 8-months-old. I usually feed her dinner shortly after I get home and then we go for a nice long walk and/or play on her activity mat, then I give her a bath and she's off to bed (roughly 2 1/2 to 3 hours after I get home).

I'm exhausted on the train home, but I get a burst of energy walking through the door. I usually crash right after DD goes to bed though. Luckily, she's a good sleeper.

dd is 5.5 months old and we have around 2 hours also from when i get home from work til bedtime starts.
as tired as i am i find enough energy to play with her. since time is so limited i want to see those baby smiles while i can. we lay on the floor together while she plays with toys. ill put her in the jumperoo for a few minutes just to wash up and put groceries away but other then that i try to have her with me - even if its just sitting next to me on the couch. shes a very good baby so when she has the right toys she is content.

I work Mon-Thurs and I am so beat when I get home. I have about 2 hours with my one year old and 3.5 hours with my three year old aftr work. I make them dinner and while they eat we talk about our day. Then it's either the park, an art project, books, a dance party or......Disney Jr....depending on my energy level.

I'm exhausted! I am out the house from 7:30 until 7; and only get 2 hours at best with my little guy in the evening. I try to take a quick nap on the train ride home and when I walk through the door it's a little play time; then dinner; then more playtime then bath and bed. I was doing the bottles as soon as I got home, but I felt that was 20 minutes of quality time I'm loosing spent in the Kitchen. So now I just do them after he goes to bed. I'm exhausted at the end of the night; and he still gets ups 1-2x (7 months old). So i'm not getting much sleep at night :(

i work ft & pick up my twins at 6. I get home and usually feed them and bathe them by myself. My best times are after dinner/bath when they are in their pajamas. We play in a very large closed off play area/ababy jail. The babiles love to climb on me and we play and read books. I love this special time. Sometimes, I will let them fall asleep on me
