RSNY Mineola Patients come in..

I went to this RE for my first and I can't remember how long monitoring in the mornings took (I just remember Mondays were terrible). I am going back for DC #2 soon and I'm trying to figure out approx how early I would need to drop off my DC before monitoring and make it to work on time. TIA!

RSNY Mineola Patients come in..

I always get the 6:30 appt and I am out by 7AM. The mornings are horrible when school starts cause of all the teachers.

Thanks for that info. I hope its not too bad...my consult is in a few weeks and I will probably start a cycle in September. I work 10 minutes away so I am hoping if I am in at 8 I would be done by 8:45 to make it to work by 9.

Best of luck with DC#2!!!!

Speaking of RSoNY Mineola...I am a pt at the Stony Brook office, but I was wondering if they are they crazy during ER and ET appointments too? Will I be waiting forever you think?

Re: RSNY Mineola Patients come in..

It really depends on the day. Some days I would have a 7:30 appt and be out by 8am other days I could have a 7:15 appt and not get out until 9am.

I'm a Mineola patient. Just had my retrieval in at 730 out by 10. They keep you to make sure you're ok with anesthesia.

Were you taken in close to 7:30 or was there a long wait?

For my FET cycle I waited a while while I was in the back because I requested my RE to do the transfer and he was finishing up consults. It was worth the wait because only cycle that worked.

I do agree with this. I would arrive at 6:15 before the doors opened to try to get out ASAP.

For monitoring I'm usually a 7:45 appt and most of the time I can get to work (15 mins away) at around 9:30.

The bloodwork sono cycle is different then retrieval time. I was only one of three today. I got in at 730 they took me right away but there's some prep- paperwork, IV for anesthesia Eric. My retrieval was set for 830 went in at 835. Out within 20 or so minutes. Rest for awhile then paperwork and instructions to leave. Not bad at all.

The appts before that have been crazy. There have been times I'm in and out and times where I'm waiting for awhile.

Re: RSNY Mineola Patients come in..

It always depends... Mondays are always HORRIBLE bc they are catching up with monitoring from the weekend. They do not do bloodwork on weekends. I would usually do the 7 and out by 7:30 but any later than 7, it would be a madhouse. I also prefer the 9:30 appts which are usually empty but with all of the teachers off, it is busy then now.

ugh I am really hoping this isn't the case! I would prefer not to take DC with me to the monitoring appointments. Hence why I am going back to this RE practice since its right near my job, instead of going to one a little closer to where I live. I really can't tell my job my situation (my boss would prob have a heart attack if he knew I was ttc #2, he already freaked out when I had #1, haha!) I guess I will see how it goes.

Anyway best of luck to all of you ladies Chat Icon

Re: RSNY Mineola Patients come in..

I have taken my DS to monitoring a few times (he's 6) and he doesn't mind at all! They have water and you can bring snacks. They are very welcoming to kids there.

The ER and Transfer are done across the hall...so the wait has nothing to do with it. But I will say as much as I had issues with RSofNY my favorite people were the nurses back there!

There were many times Sung was the only Dr and she was stuck doing the morning monitoring consults, IUIs and transfers all together. She was running around in her green scrubs and I was stuck waiting 45 min once just to go over my sono from the am. Those times can get a bit tricky with work timing :/

With my fresh cycle retrieval I was in at 7:30 and out by 10:30. My transfer 5 days later was the same but I had my transfer on Thanksgiving so everyone wanted to get out of there especially Dr SungChat Icon . I was happy when Dr Trivax requested he do my FET cycle.
