Endometrial biopsy info
Hey girls, any info on an endometrial biopsy? What cycle day should I have it? Is it painful?

It was really nothing. Speculum was the worst! This was the quickest test for me. Different Dr offices do it differently. I had mine with Dr Lydic. Speculum, clean cervix, insert catheter/biopsy currette and while he is taking the sample there is a little bit of cramping/pinching but it was less than 2 minutes, definitely not terrible pain. The whole thing was less than 5 minutes. I didn't have any cramping or pain after it was over. I took 600mg ibuprofen 1 hr prior. I believe it was done CD10. I believe we were told no unprotected sex that cycle also.

I had mine today. I'm on CD 21. I don't know if that matters.
In terms of pain, I guess everyone is different because I found this procedure to be more than just uncomfortable. It was actually painful for me but maybe it was just the doctor or maybe I'm just sensitive right now. Not even the HSG test was as bad (and that's the one I was most scared of).
Hopefully it won't be painful for you.
eta: my procedure was done exactly how Mrs.Goldie explained. I didn't take any pain medication prior though, so maybe that's where I messed up.

It wasn't major for me. I don't remember what day, but the dr was particular. Minor cramping.

I have had more testing done and preceedures over the years than I can even count.
To be honest....this was one of the most painful for me. Its quick but holy cow it hurt.

I found it to be a bit painful.... But it was fast! Definitely take some ibuprofen prior.
Good luck! I'm having this done again soon, ugh!
