Had my baby!
I had my team  baby on July 17, 2013. My beautiful son, Christian David was born via C-Section at 1:47 pm.
I was sent to the hospital on Monday, July 15 after having high blood pressure at my check up. I was given cervidal monday night. I was also put on magnesium sulfate to control my blood pressure. Tuesday morning they started pitocin. They broke my water at noon which really kicked started my contractions. I got an epidural, which only numbed half of me. After a while, they gave me a new epidural and that was like freakin' heaven! The magnesium counteracted the pitocin so they stopped it and just gave me pitocin. They were taking my blood pressure every half hour to monitor it. I was able to reach 9 centimeters. However, at 1 pm on Wednesday they couldn't give me anymore time for the final centimeter. My blood pressure and temperature were going up again. Truthfully, after 3 days, I don't think I had the energy to push anyway. I was terrified of a c-section but honestly, it wasn't that bad. They did give me anxiety medicine.
Because I had a fever, my son had to be taken to NICU where he stayed. Luckily, he was discharged the same day I was. He is so perfect, so handsome and I am so in love. He was so worth every second of labor and recovery.
