spinoff to clomid- femara vs clomid

Besides less side effects, are there any advantages to taking femara vs clomid? Do you typically produce more follicles on femara then one would on clomid?

I feel I may be clomid resistant, and instead of jumping the gun straight to injectables (we can't afford a cycle & meds with them at the moment), I'd like to pursue this option- or at least mention this to my doctor.

I understand it is a pill, but do you take it for the same amount of time like you would with clomid? Would you be more closely monitored on femara?

I never responded to clomid and responded to femara

Took it same like clomid and was monitored by my RE

Everyone will respond different to fertility meds. For some, Clomid is great. For others, it isn't. Same with Femara.

For me, Clomid gave me horrible migraines and I never produced more than 1 follie. I chose to move straight to injectables which worked for me.

I did 4 cycles of Femara with my RE and I responded the same as with clomid. Its the same process as taking clomid just a different drug. I did not have cysts or a thin lining withe femara like I did with clomid.
