Anyone ever hooked up to the NST machine and "variables" were found?

I had this done to me 3 times this week and they sent me to Labpr and Delivery.

I am 38 weeks with a sceduled c-section in a few days. It makes me nervous if there are variables or dipdswith the baby's reading.


Why won't they just take the baby now???

I'm assuming whatever they noted on the NSTest was within normal parameters and the risk of taking the baby early doesn't outweigh whatever normal variablity there may have been on the heart monitor. Variability including decels as well as HR increases are normal and show that the baby is responding appropriately to intrauterine stresses.
