I personally wouldn't buy any baby items. That early Maybe a "what to expect when you're expecting" book, or her favorite snack!

I agree with the favorite snack. A couple is is actually much more close with dh than me gave me a case of KitKats because I was loving them at the time. I thought it was such a cute idea.

One of my close friends was pregnant and early on, I got her a basket with "What to Expect When Expecting", Stretch mark cream, a rubber ducky, a teddy bear, and some lotions and a candle for her to relax. She loved it!
