Moms on their second LO (or more )

When did you start feeling movement? My doc told me with the second its between 16 and 18 weeks. I'm 18 weeks and not really feeling anything so of course now I'm starting to get worried!! Should I be concerned? My next visit isn't until 20 weeks Chat Icon

Re: Moms on their second LO (or more )

With my 2nd I was somwhere I would say 22 or 23 weeks when I really felt him. This time on my 3rd I felt little flutters I think around 16 weeks but serious movement started after 20 weeks. I wouldn't be to concerned.

Re: Moms on their second LO (or more )

I didn't get unmistakable movement until just this past week and a half, so about 19 weeks. It just started to happen all of a sudden, so I wouldn't worry about it. If you have an anterior placenta or a not very active baby it could easily take longer.

With DD#1 I felt movement around 18 weeks. This time I felt the first unmistakable movement last week during a sono at 16 weeks. I've felt continued movement since then.

I would think it would be relative to yourself. Like if you didn't feel your first until 22 weeks, I don't think you would feel your 2nd at 16-18. It depends on different factors such as placement of placenta, body composition and weight. I wouldn't be overly concerned but mention it to dr.

I'm 17w2d and I *think* I'm feeling flutters on occasion, but can't tell if it's just gas. Chat Icon I definitely felt DD1 a little more at this point. I had an appt yesterday and HB sounded good, so I'm guessing it's just a little early for this one.

Moms on their second LO (or more )

I felt the bubble popping sensation around 13 or 14 weeks and thought I was crazy. The kicking was obvious at 19 weeks.

I was freaking out about the same thing! Just last night I was saying to my dh that I haven't felt anything. I am pregnant with #3 and couldn't remember about the other 2. I'm almost 18 weeks. I have an appointment in 2 weeks, but am nervous that i haven't felt anything. THese responses make me feel a little better.

i would say that i started feeling flutters around 15-16 weeks, and real intense movement between 21-23 weeks.

I started to feel "tapping" at 15 weeks this time around. Now at 24 weeks, I am feeling full on kicks, that even keep me up at night!

Super early. 13w! Now at 18w I feel baby dancing constantly. I forgot how much I loved this feeling. The only thing I remembered from DS was first feeling him 16/17w, then fast forward to feet in my ribs. Lol
