Growing Pains....what to do?
DS woke up twice last night w leg pain behind his knees. My exh(his dad) had growing pains too.
Does anyone have a magical cure? DS is up again tonight once. I gave Motrin already.
I read two websites that said Tylenol or Motrin, heating pad or rub the leg. It's so hot, DS doesn't want the heating pad. Rubbing his leg hurts.
TIA

Re: Growing Pains....what to do?
What did the doctor recommend? My daughters friend goes through this...she is five. She actually takes her for a walk in the evenings (to get her to stretch her legs), gives her a long warm bath with lavender to get her relaxed....she gives her tylenol and gives a massage. I also know sometimes she applies ice compresses.
I've stayed over at their house and seen how her daughter cries in pain. I'm sorry your son is going through this and hopefully it's over soon.

Growing Pains....what to do?
I didn't call the doc yet. DS doesn't complain of pain really. He was really good teething as a baby, with shots, etc.
His big tooth is coming thru behind his baby teeth. He said his teeth hurt but didn't want meds. It wasn't until we saw the tooth we knew why he said it. It wasn't all the time.
Anyway, I'll try a walk tomorrow night.
