Can you advise me on a red lipstick?
I'm looking for a creamy lipstick.
I want it to be reddish but not bright red, if that makes sense.
Like a muted, creamy red.
I checked out pics of Mac's Ruby Woo online and it looks too red for me.

I haven't tried it, but one of my favorite bloggers was just raving about the new Wet n-Wild "Fergie" line of red lipsticks and they are only around $3.00 a pop at the drugstore.

Maybe the Revlon lip butter in Candy Apple or Red Velvet. Nice reds that can be sheer or opaque depending on how much you build them up.

I wore Clinique's Angel Red for years- it's a really wearable, not too bright red.

Thanks all! I will look into these
Ruby woo looks awesome but I don't think I can pull it off. I wanted a more subtle and creamy red.
I'm quite pale and it just looks too shocking on me.

Seriously though, it is a great color. I would start by applying it with either your finger or lipstick brush so you can control the intensity of the color. And believe me, I never thought I could pull the color off either, but I wear it all the time now.

lol. Good luck. I hope you love it! If you don't, MAC also has a red called New York Apple, which I also really like and is a little bit more muted than Ruby Woo.

im very pale too, but it works! heres a pic of me wearing it...don't mind the weird faces we're making lol i'm on the left.
