Help decorate our new Living room

Attached is a pic of the couch and throw pillows (the gray color of the couch is actually lighter this is a picture from the design your own couch feature online so it looks darker).

Also I attached a picture of a room painted in the color we are using BM Palladian blue.

What sort of area rug should we get? I worry the pattern of the pillows will force us to get a solid area rug? (but maybe I am wrong as interior design is not my speciality )

Accent chair?

Lamp?

We don't want a traditional coffee table bc of our son and were leaning towards an ottoman, maybe one of those modern end tables that looks like steel..I attached a pic.

Any other accents? we like color..thanks
