high risk ob/gyn question and recos?
hey ladies! i was just released from my RE and am in search of a high risk ob/gyn that has experience with multiples.
i live in brooklyn and work in garden city -- any thoughts on whether it makes more sense to get a dr. in the city or one on LI? i a concerned that with triplets i wont be able to drive out to LI for the appointments closer to the end.
also, any recos for a high-risk obgyn, either in the garden city area that delivers at NS or LIJ, or someone in the city?

I am crashing, but I have 13 month old triplets - congrats!!!! I used victor Klein at north shore. Office in great neck. Great great doctor, excellent thorough pregnancy management - I saw more specialists than I can count! Also check out the maternity ward at nsuh- gorgeous private rooms for no extra cost. Great nicu too. Good luck and feel free to ask or pm any questions - whenever you re comfortable joining, we have a Facebook page too for triplet families on Long Island.

I saw Dr. Deepak Nanda earlier on in this pregnancy. He is affiliated with LIJ in New Hyde Park and also has an office in Queens. He is really nice and thorough. FM me if you need more info.

I'm not having multiples but I am high risk and I see Dr. Vohra who is affiliated with NS. She has office hours at several locations. I've really liked her.

Love Dr Vohra! She delivered my DS back when her practice use to do deliveries (2004).

I'm not pregnant with multiples but I am super high risk and I go to the same practice. I like them all a lot.
I am high risk too- with just 1 and I have been very happy with this practice so far too.

He does but the way the practice works is when pregnant you rotate through all the doctors so you meet them all, and whoever is on call will deliver you unless you have a scheduled c-section, in which case you will of course be with your main doctor.

Your c section will be scheduled with him - if you go before, which I did, he will make every effort to deliver you (which he did). You are in great hands. He has delivered nearly 300 sets of triplets and his average is 35 weeks - 3 weeks later than the national average. Good luck!
