Newborns- Diaper Change
What product do you or will you use at every diaper change? I've heard A&D, Boudreaux's Butt Paste, or Triple Paste... I'm not sure which one is the best to use at every diaper change to help prevent a diaper rash. TIA

I'd save the hard stuff for when you really need it. For rashes we use desitin max bc it has the highest amount of zinc oxide. For every change we use coconut oil. It's natural, organic, chemical free, smells delicious, and works great! Plus it has anti fungal properties to it

Re: Newborns- Diaper Change
We used a&d for every change then if a little red used desitin and escalated to triple paste if more severe, which we never had to do until dd was 6mo old. I also really liked the Burt's bees cream once in a while.

I never used anything unless he was red. DS has only had one diaper rash.

I never used anything until she had a diaper rash, she had maybe less than five and they only started after we started solids at 6 months.

For daily changes I use either a&d, baby aquaphor, or angel baby bottom balm. If a little red/bumpy I use something with zinc and a bit of cornstarch.

We don't use anything unless he's actually red. Then we use Aquaphor. We've had very few rashes in 2 years.

This! I never put diaper cream on him unless he had a straight up rash/red butt. We used the Desitin in the purple tube as recommended by the ped. It has the highest concentration of the ingredient to treat this.

I like to use coconut oil. dh likes vaseline. When she's red or has a diaper rash a do a combo of breastmilk and desitin.

I also didn't use anything unless he was red. In the beginning, I just used vasoline (sp?) on his circumcision.
