This kid already takes after her dad!
39 week appt and nothing! They are sending me for a growth sono Thursday because the think she is a little small. Why now she's small and last week was fine I don't get! Has anyone else experienced this? I was only 5lbs 6oz when I was born so I really don't think it's a big deal but I old my mom and she seemed upset and now I'm thinking this isn't good!

This kid already takes after her dad!
I wasnt as far along but i also got the all of a sudden shes small.. at 34w they said she was 5lbs... then the next sono she was small, then she seemed to gain fine... they measured her at 7.9 2 days before she was born... the sonos are notoriously inaccurate in measuring weight.. it turns out she was small all along she was 6.2 when she was born but perfectly healthy. Some babies are just smaller than others

aww hang in there hun!!
did they tell you last week how much she was weighing?
don't worry she will be here when she's ready. I think im going late because last week at 36 weeks I was still closed. My doc will not do more internals which I am happy for I don't want to get stressed
Try to stay calm! and keep busy so your mind is off it

Do they think shes small because of the measurement of your belly? I always measure small bc all my babies are sideways, but they were all big babies. Some can hide really good in there. Don't stress until the growth sono. And if she is on the smaller side, that's ok too. Some babies are big and some are little! And if you were a little baby, theres a good chance she might be too!

any possibility that they are off on the date- she could be a week behind what they are saying. Due dates and weight of the baby are really guesstimates.

No I know my o date so that isn't off. And as of last check she was head down and not sideways. I'm 4'11" and have always been small. I don't understand why I've been going weekly for 3 weeks now and suddenly she is small
And at my last sono not the 20 week the one after that they said she was approx 4 lbs then so what did she stop growing?

She also could have dropped. But you are tiny so I wouldn't be surprised if you had a smaller baby too! I wouldn't worry!

I'm sorry you're upset. I was 5lbs 3oz and I was fine! I thought they would worry for under 5lbs!
