Handbag lovers - need opinions!
I am buying a new handbag and here are my choices - they are both the same price:
#1 - pre-owned high end bag (original retail about $1000) - looks like it was never used, just thrown in the closet - still has protective plastic on metal nameplate - only has a few slight surface scratches. Fits what I'm looking for. Could not afford to buy new.
#2 - brand new from outlet - original price about half the original price of #1. Good brand but not a luxury brand like #1. Appears to be very good quality but again not at the level of #1. Roughly same size as #1 with same interior pockets. Can only be carried - not worn on shoulder (I had wanted both possibilities - #1 has both).
Thoughts? Need to make a decision quickly - TIA.
ETA: #2 is also mainly white and I'm concerned about keeping it clean.

Sounds like you're leaning towards #1. I wouldn't care if it was pre owned if it looked like it was in pretty great shape.

I can tell you from experience- don't get a bag that is mainly white or light.
I got one a few months back and it's FILTHY already.
Like disgusting
And I was careful with it.
Sigh.

Thanks for all the input. I was concerned about the white and now I think I've ruled it out. Will be going for #1 - thanks again!
