Help with clomid please
Hi ladies
So I started clomid last night and to day it doesn't agree with me is the understatement of the year!! I am really dizzy, light sensitive, my eyes just hurt, and i am sorry for the tmi but bloated and using the bathroom every 20-30 minutes.
I am also really angry that my body has failed me and I am now seeking outside help to have a baby!
Just trying to figure out if this all usual on clomid... I know I had read about hot flashes which will be really exciting during a heat wave!! I would rather a 4ww then 5 days in this stuff!
Praying a day of down time will help!
Thanks ladies for listening/helping!

Help with clomid please
honestly, if you are doing any fertility treatments you need to get over the anger. i know its easier said than done and it takes some time, but it is something you will need to make peace with, cause it is what it is. if there is anything i have learned from infertility and birth its that believing you have control over your own body is a myth. we have no control, our bodies have their own programming - and sometimes things are just out of whack.
as far as clomid goes, i would prob call the RE for some of those symptoms. i just had headaches and hot flashes on it but i only did it one cycle (and it did nothing for me). you can ask to switch to femara next cycle - it has less side effects. good luck!

Exactly. It took a LONG time for me to make peace with every bit of this journey- especially accepting the fact that another woman would be carrying my baby. It is what it is ... and you just never know what surprises are in store.
I think it helps to just focus on the end result. The journey may not be ideal but if you take home your baby in the end, that's what really matters.

Being angry isn't helpful. I'm upset that my body isn't doing what I want it to be but it is what it is. All I can do is try whatever I can to make something work.
As for Clomid call your RE. Some people have bad side effects on Clomid. I only had mild side effects on it. Good luck!

I also had similar symptoms on clomid. Headaches, dizzy, eyes hurt and were blurry at times and holy bloated! Was on 2 months and then dr took me off as soon as i told him. My side effects and he put me on femara. I hardly have any reactions to femara. Feel better!

Re: Help with clomid please
I know how you feel about going to outside help but honestly just remember that the end will justify the means. Just let it go and focus on a positive outcome. As far as the side effects, definitely call your RE. I'm not sure what your dose is, but maybe its too high or you should be switched to something else. FWIW- the side effects typically go away once you stop taking the clomid.
Good luck!!!
