2 yr old knee pain

My 2 yr old ds has been telling us his knees hurt and he wants us to kiss them to make it better. I'm not sure if he wants the attention and likes his knees being kissed or he has some sort of knee pain. I ask if it hurts but he says no. But I'm not 100percent sure he understands that. Has anyone's kids have knee pain or growing pains? How can you without a child who's a talker? Thanks I was going to wait another week to call the dr. I don't want them to do a X-ray for no reason.

dd is 3 and complains all the time about her knees. I just say growing pains. She not in constant pain but does say it often. She walks fine and says it when she's tired. I would just give the kisses and hugs

Thanks for the reply. I'm guessing when he can communicate Alittle better it will get easier for me to understand how's he's feeling. I'm thinking they are growing pains and he just loves the kisses!
