DS is just over 2 and we have modified the 3 day plan, thanks to the ideas you guys had. We are not going so hardcore and he still wears diapers at night or when we go out.

Now he has taken to the pooping part. He lets us know and we take him in and we read and he does his thing.

Peeing on the other hand...he wants nothing to do with the toilet. We tried having him sit, stand, use the toilet seat, use the portable potty, etc. He knows he gets a treat (hence his enthusiasm to go #2). We have books in the bathroom. He just refuses to even try.

Now, we are not pressuring him I don't think he isn't ready because I feel that if he wasn't ready, he wouldn't be attempting #2. But I could be wrong.

So what I'm asking is this: Is this normal? If you went through this hesitance, what worked?

As I said, we are not pressuring him or stressing him out about it. And if he is trained, great. If it takes him longer, fine. I just don't know what the aversion could be.
