Re: Labor music
Personally, if I had made one it would have gone to total waste. I was so focused on the contractions that either I wouldn't have noticed the music or it would have distracted me.
Not worth it IMO.

Re: Labor music
I plan on having music on during labor and pushing if possible. If I find it distracting me I'll just zone it out but I don't think i'm going to mind being distracted for a few seconds here and there.
I'm probably just going to put on ambient/yoga/meditation music. I don't want anything with words that I can focus on, just the beat and rhythm of something.

This. My screams during pushing and crowning would have drowned it out anyway!

Labor music
I think it would be nice to have relaxing/ soothing music like they play at a spa.... with maybe sound effects of ocean waves or a babbling brook. I listen to that now to help calm myself down and de-stress!!

Labor music
I made one. Never got to use it. I was induced and then given stadol, so I went from 2cm to pushing out a baby with no real recollection of in between. Spent a lot of hours picking out the music, too. Just load up your phone or mp3 player with what you love but don't go crazy.

Labor music
I made one of work out music. House, bush, things that got me pumped. When I was in labor all I wanted was relaxing music. So I put on my commute mix which is mainly soft stuff like r&b and had it super low. Just like background noise. I'm a big music person, so it was great for me.

Re: Labor music
With my first daughter my husband brought music and it just made me more irritated and angry at him with each contraction. I wanted quiet.

Re: Labor music
I feel like I may want background music throughout everything -- not necessarily during major shit lol but while waiting, some parts of labor, and definitely afterwards and while people visit, while we hold DS, etc. I'm thinking the same stuff that I play for the baby now - he loves John Lennon, Toby Keith, The Beatles, Eric Church, Zac Brown, among others :)
