swing and monitor
What video monitor and swing is everyone registering for? We had to throw out my swing so its time for a new one for baby #3.

Monitor - We have the Motorola and LOVE IT!!! We got the one with the smaller screen (SIL has the bigger screen). It was cheaper and just as good.
Swing - We have the Graco Sweetpeace. We haven't used it yet (DS is only 9 days old). I can't wait to use it though. You can rotate the seat so if LO doesn't like to go back and forth you can move the seat and make it go side to side. You can also hook up your ipod so that it plays music for the baby. Also, you can take the seat off and it becomes a bouncy seat and you can put your carseat in the opening if you come home and don't want to move LO. It was in Baby Bargins and got great reviews on Amazon.

We registered for the Mamaroo as a swing. DH's cousin has it and her son LOVES it! Plus, it takes up less space then a regular swing which is a plus since we live in a co-op.
For the monitor, we went with the Motorola 2.8 inch color video monitor. It had high reviews.

My suggestion is that no matter what swing you get, make sure there's an AC adapter so you can plug it into the wall. Much better than wasting money on batteries...or even worse, having the batteries die while the baby is swinging away!
