BTDT Moms: What will you do different this time around?
Here are some things I learned:
-I am not going to be a slave to BFing. I intend to do it as much as I did before (8+ months or try really hard to) but I am still going to get out of my house LOL. NOt sure if I will be comfortable nursing in public but I will def use more bottles or BF in the car.
-I am not going to stress about naps. I was so worked up about getting her on a schedule during my leave that I drove myself (and everyone else) crazy!
-This kid is staying in stroller/high chair/ shopping cart for as long as the label permits LOL. I think we gave DD a little too much freedom too early, lesson learned.
-I will make sure I have some time to myself (to go for a walk, mani, zumba) BEFORE I have a cryfest LOL. I was amazed at how much better I felt once I starting taking some time each day (or each day)
I am sure I have plenty more! Care to add?

BTDT Moms: What will you do different this time around?
-I'm actually going to allow myself to bathe every day knowing the baby will not die if he has to cry for a few minutes waiting for me to come out of the shower. -I am going to try and be more in tune with his cries so I don't think I need to BF every single time causing me to frequently leave the room when visiting anyone or anywhere just to feed him. -I'm going to do more Tummy Time and less carrying around everywhere. -I'm not going to be afraid to leave the damn house and actually go to stores and things etc to get some fresh air so I don't lose my mind.

Re: BTDT Moms: What will you do different this time around?
1. I will be supplementing with formula as well as BF so that I can get some sleep.
2. I do not have to do EVERYTHING on my own and will accept more help.
3. I will nap when the baby does. (I hope)
4. I will be more confident from day 1 and handle him more securely and less like he will break into a 1000 pieces.
5. I will get out of the house more often even if it disrupts my schedule or seems like more trouble than it's worth.
6. I will try to live in the moment instead of worrying about what's not done or what milestone is on the horizon.
7. I will get his face wet in the tub early on so it won't be a battle later on. (I hope)
8. I will pump when I return to work and not let my job dictate when I stop BFing.
I think that's it for now

Re: BTDT Moms: What will you do different this time around?
1. I will use the snap and go for as long as possible! 2. I will try my best to not BF to sleep. 3. Shower every day. 4. I will work out, even if DH has to leave with all kids, dont care 5. I will try to relax more and go with the flow, im constantly feeling like i need to rush everything even though im a SAHM and make my own schedule!
They say third times a charm right?

I will try to BF more! I pumped for 14m with DD but I was too impatient to let her nurse!
I will try to do everything else the same though LOL DD is so easy, I'm scared of #2 lol

I WILL BF until weaning
I will probably do BLW, maybe some purees
Food will be introduced at 6mos, no earlier.
I will not be anxious about every little thing.

*I developed pupps (post partum last time) and I am hoping I could breast feed longer and supplement with formula.
*Start off using Dr. Browns bottles.
*Although costly, I will be using RTF over powder.

Re: BTDT Moms: What will you do different this time around?
I'm going to
- make sure I lose all the baby weight this time.
- do more tummy time/time in the carrier. I don't want to have to go through getting a helmet again.
- try to replicate, as much as possible, getting him into a good sleep pattern like I did with his brother. Too bad I can't remember exactly how we accomplished this!
DS was such an easy baby that I'm terrified I'm going to get a monster this time around.

Re: BTDT Moms: What will you do different this time around?
Give more responsibility to my DH regarding caregiving for the children. Last time I did everything and now I still do everything with my DD. When #2 comes along he is going to have to take on responsibilities with with both children.

Re: BTDT Moms: What will you do different this time around?
I agree with SO many of these!
1) Chill out! I was a nut about everything and so stressed out. I hope I can go with the flow a bit more with baby #2
2) Don't wake a sleeping baby. I was so anal about making sure DD ate every 2-3 hours that I would wake her (and every 4 hrs at night). I always wonder if that is part of the reason she has always been a crap napper. Once this baby gets back up to the weight he was born at, I am going to let him dictate his own schedule much more than I did DD (for feedings and sleeping)
3) Agree - don't be a slave to BFing. I felt so tied down with DD as I didn't feel comfortable nursing in public. Definitely want to introduce a bottle this time (DD never took to one) so I can go out and leave DS with DH more
4) Stroller him! DD would never sit in a stroller, from day one. I am going to do whatever it takes to get DS to sit his heiney in the stroller without a fuss. We bought a freakin bugaboo and it is a total dust collector!

Re: BTDT Moms: What will you do different this time around?
I won't stress about BFing....had a really hard time and it was a very stressful beginning. Get a lactation consultant to come to the house to help if I need it this go around.
Try to get baby on a schedule sooner, do more tummy time - DS had a flat spot
