Hives?

I am traveling and I just broke out with what I think is hives. I thought bug bites at first, but my DH doesn't have any and I get more by the minute. I just took two Benadryl. Anyone else experience this in pregnancy? Google told me its normal in pregnancy, but I guess looking for some first-hand experience. I am 7 weeks.

TIA!

Re: Hives?

I actually get them all the time, even more so pre-pregnancy. I have very sensitive skin so I get them when I shower from the water pressure, when I'm really hot, sweating, stressed/nervous, even at the beach from the sand/water/heat combo! You get the idea Chat Icon

Before I got pregnant, my dermatologist told me to take Claritin for the antihistamine and it worked great. No can do during pregnancy. I'm so used to them at this point that I don't take anything and just wait for them to go down and away on their own. They're uncomfortable for a little while and more annoying than anything.

Hang in there!

Thank you! I have never had them before so I got really nervous. They have calmed quite a bit and are now just ugly, but not itchy. I'll take it.

Thanks again!
